These twelve weeks have flown by... quick.
Welcome to the final week of the 2009 regular season. Tonight means a lot for a lot of teams. By the night's end, we're going to have a much better idea of who is in and who is out of the playoffs this year.
We already know some of the teams that will get in, but only a handful of teams are already out. There's a lot on the line tonight, and we'll be here all night and all weekend to bring you the latest information.
I'm not really going with any upsets tonight, but I will give you a few games to watch.
Sanderson and Broughton will be an interesting one. First I picked Sanderson, then I went to Broughton. I really think Sanderson is going to win this one, but Broughton has too much on the line for them to lose, so I went with the Caps.
The Cary and Panther Creek game is huge. Cary is in the playoffs regardless of the outcome, but the Cats have to win to get in. Again, this one is a toss-up, but I went with the team that has to have the win.
I also think we're going to see at least one of the top-tier teams upset tonight. I don't know if that's going to be Leesville Road over Wake Forest-Rolesville, Garner over Harnett Central, or Apex over Middle Creek. But I think one of those teams is destined to fall tonight.
We'll see soon enough.
Get ready. It's going to be a wild one tonight. Catch all the action on Football Friday with Tom Suiter tonight at 11:35 on WRAL.
Our playoff coverage starts tomorrow morning at 9 a.m., on "HighSchoolOT" with Chris Morris and Adam Harris on 99.9 FM The Fan ESPN Radio.
And we'll be here all weekend long with playoff coverage. We'll have the brackets as soon as they are released, with immediate reaction and playoff previews. The coverage will extend into Sunday with a very big, special edition live chat with Nick Stevens and guests, stay tuned for more information on that!
Good luck to all the teams playing tonight. If you need a win to get into the playoffs, you better take care of business. Tonight's the last night to do so!
