Yes, you read the headline right. The Tennessee Volunteers picked up their first commitment from the Class of 2013 before the 13-year-old prospect has even played a down in high school.

Evan Berry, 13, will begin playing high school football at Fairburn (Ga.) Creekside this fall as a freshman, but the younger brother of Tennessee All-American safety Eric Berry.

Evan has visited Tennessee multiple times with his twin brother Elliot.

"It's the only college I know right now and it seems the best for me," Evan Berry, 13, told Rivals.com.

Now, this commitment may or may not mean much. Head coach Lane Kiffin could not have offered Evan Berry a scholarship. Why? Because he has not registered with the NCAA Clearinghouse yet.

The boys' father, James Berry, told Rivals.com that four years is "a long ways away," and noted that things could change.
