Ravenscroft student Wilson Day (2011) has qualified to play in the U.S. Junior Amateur Tournament for the second year in a row. Day was one of four players from a field of 73 to qualify on June 22 at the Gaston Country Club, Gastonia, N.C.
The US Junior Amateur is run by the USGA and is the junior version of the US Amateur.
After 36 holes, Day was at even par, posting rounds of 73 and 71. He will travel to this year's U.S. Junior Amateur Tournament to be held July 20- 25 at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J.
Last year he competed through Round 2 in Birmingham, Ala.
