Wide receiver Tony Creecy is a rising senior at Southern Durham and is expected to be one of the area's top receivers this season.
Creecy has committed to play football at N.C. State, turning down 31 other offers, including some from Clemson, Duke, East Carolina, Florida State, LSU, Maryland, North Carolina, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Stanford and Wake Forest.
Last season, Creecy caught 48 passes for 863 yards and five touchdowns for the Spartans.
Southern Durham recorded a 9-4 record last season, and finished in a three-way tie for first place.
The Spartans lost to Hillside in the second round of the N.C. High School Athletic Association's 4-A state playoffs, 7-0.
