Duke offers Durham sophomore

The Duke Blue Devils have extended a verbal offer to Jordan football star T.J. Thorpe, according to Falcon assistant coach Jason Luck.

As a sophomore last season, Thorpe led the Falcons in receiving with 450-yards and five touchdowns. But Thrope has the ability to play multiple positions.

Luck said Thorpe plays wide receiver, defensive back, punt returner and kick returner.

Thorpe is expected to take an unofficial visit to Duke later this week with his parents.
