Apex wide receiver and tight end Rob Fronk will spend a year at Hargrave Military Adacemy, HighSchoolOT.com confirmed.
Fronk recorded just over 1,000 receiving yards for the Cougars last season, scoring seven touchdowns. His performance earned him Tri-Eight All-Conference honors.
The senior helped lead Apex to a 10-4 season in 2008, and 6-1 in the conference. The Cougars finished second in the conference behind Fuquay-Varina.
Apex advanced to the third round of the N.C. High School Athletic Association's 4-AA state playoffs where they lost to Wake Forest-Rolesville, 35-7. It was the first time in school history Apex made it to the thrid round, and they did so with a 6-3 upset over Hoggard.
