Panther Creek still missing 3 players

GREENVILLE — The Panther Creek Catamounts are still missing three players as they prepare to take on Jack Britt in the N.C. High School Athletic Association 4-A regional semifinal.

Starters Earnest Ross and Brandon Oliver, and reserve Karim Sako, were absent from Panther Creek's 68-64 win over Southern Durham last Friday. Head coach L.J. Hepp said the three were suspended for a violation of team rules but said he could not comment any further.

There has been no word on if or when they will be allowed to return.

From the word around town - it was a very disgusting act -by the suspended players - not the Coaches. The Team, the School, and the Community suffers when such appalling behavior goes on. How you blame the coaching staff for this?

PCHS's coaches had a responsibility to protect their players. They didn't, and the players and their team suffered.
