GNRC to release all-conference after playoffs

The Greater Neuse River Conference will release the boys and girls all-conference awards after all teams are done in the N.C. High School Athletic Association's 4-A state playoffs, according to Southeast Raleigh athletic director and conference president Gary Powers.

"We do it that way to prevent any animosity between players," Powers said Friday night.

Powers said the release of the all-conference awards after the playoffs is conference policy.

Other area conferences did release their all-conference awards on Friday night. You can view those awards by going to the 2009 Conference Tournament Central, or by clicking here.
