The Naval Academy doesn't generate nearly as much buzz on the recruiting trail as other football programs, but that doesn't mean the Midshipmen don't get good talent.
On Wednesday afternoon at 3 p.m., Navy will be getting the pledge of Knightdale High School standout defensive end Nnamdi Uzoma.
Uzoma, who checks in at 6-foot-2, 200 pounds, was a leader for the Knights on defense in 2011. He played outside linebacker and defensive end.
Knighdale finished the 2011 season in the middle of the pack in the Greater Neuse River 4-A conference, compiling a 3-6 record in league games and a 4-6 record overall.
