Welcome back high school football!

Week one is about to kickoff, and now that it is the first Football Friday, it is time for me to release Nick's Last Minute Picks.

In case you're new to HighSchoolOT.com, each Friday I release my picks for every game in the HighSchoolOT.com coverage area. Because the picks don't come out until Friday, I call them "Nick's Last Minute Picks."

The name came up by accident. A few years ago I published my picks on Thursdays. One week I forgot though, and I posted my picks from the parking lot of Knightdale High School about an hour before kickoff on Friday. I called that blogpost "Nick's Last Minute Picks," the name stuck, and a new tradition was born!

You can see my picks every Friday right here on HighSchoolOT.com. I try to have them posted by lunchtime every Friday, but as you have read, they're "Nick's Last Minute Picks" for a reason...
