Ravenscroft forward Marcus Bryan, a member of the Class of 2013, has signed to play college basketball this fall.
According to Ravenscroft boys basketball coach Kevin Billerman, Bryan signed with UNC-Charlotte on Tuesday. He will enroll at the school this fall.
Last fall, Bryan made a verbal commitment to Appalachian State, but later rescinded that commitment.
At 6-foot-8 and 215 pounds, Bryan helped Ravenscroft to the 2012 N.C. Independent School Athletic Association 3-A state championship. He has also been a member of conference championship teams and HighSchoolOT.com Holiday Invitational championship teams.
Last season, Bryan averaged 17.8 points, 12.8 rebounds and 2.7 blocks per game for the Ravens. He is the all-time leading rebounder and shot blocker at the school.
Bryan has also participated in Dave Telep's Carolina Challenge, a one-day camp in Raleigh for the top underclassmen in the state of North Carolina.
