For those of you who did not see the game last night aganist 71st and SE Raleigh! Alexus Hicks gave it to them last night... She's not the fastest, but she put it on them last night! Awesome game SE had...

USA Today out with the Girls High School National Rankings and Millbrook is now 19th! Congrats to SE Raleigh as they break into the top 25. Lots of good Girls basketball in Raleigh.

completely agree with that assessment ILuvBBALL. Brianna is a match-up nightmare and good luck boxing her out. Alex is a sleepy player who just loves to win.

I have NEVER seen Millbrook DEFENSE play like that! They played an awesome game aganist Holly Springs. Briana Day went to work! I'm a liittle disappointed that Myers park lost, I really wanted to see that rematch... Good luck to all the teams...

The Holly Springs Girls had a very good season. Tonight they were quite over matched by the Millbrook Wildcats who are on a mission. Unfortunately Myers Park lost because I am sure the Ladies would of loved to avenge that Glaxo loss last year.

So much for Myers Park being the #1 team in the state....GO MILLBROOK! Great game tonight ladies!

    ALEXIS HICKS IS THE TRUTH...

BallerMom, that was a good game down to the final seconds. For some reason, they were a little timid when it came to guarding K. Leslie, she was all over them. She scored 35 of their points, so you see who has the ball in their hands the most.. The point guard is pretty nice too. Hillside created a lot of turnovers. Se_bulldog919, I have been saying this ALL year, SE Raleigh is the most underrated school in Raleigh. Alexis Hicks is the TRUTH! Love watching her play.

icculrac, I predicted that they would win in 2011, they didn't, I predicted that they would win in 2012, they did, and I'm predicting that they will win in 2013. Lets be REAL, they have some POWERFUL players over there: Brianna Day can shoot, rebound, block, dribble and guard a 5'2 guard; Ryan Flowers can rebound, block, and can kill you in the paint off the backboard, cant leave her alone; Mykia Jones SPEED SPEED SPEED and more SPEED, has great ball handling skills, can play 1 or 2, cannot be left alone on the outside, will drop 3's on you; Alex Tomlinson, just when you think she's sleep, shes dropping 3's on you from nowhere; Jaylen Dillard, is explosive on defensive, would like to see her shoot more, can dribble and rebound, Courtney Best, most underrated player, would love to see her in the game more, can dribble, and has a mean floater; Brianna Hinton and Katlyn Mitchell are both good backups and can drop 3's when needed; Bria Day is awesome on defense as well, can shot.. So now that I've gotten that out the way, I guess its safe to say that I think Millbrook will bring home the trophy again this year...

3 years ago, at the beginning of the Girls Basketball season I made the prediction that Millbrook Girls would contend for the State Championship that year (they played in the finals and lost); that the next Year they would win the State Championship (They DID) and that this year they would be ranked in the top 20 in the Country. Today, USA today has them at 23rd. GO Millbrook!

Nick...I'm pretty certain that the current TRI9 standings are different than what your projections reflect. As of now, Apex, Middle Creek, and Athens are tied for 3rd with 8-7 records. PC and Cary are 7-8.

RD...The 1 and 2 seeds from the Southeastern Conference are placed in the East Division and the 3 and 4 seeds are placed in the Mideast Division.

Also, why are the Pinecrest girls in the East sectional, whereas the Pinecrest boys are in the Mideast sectional?

    Why no girls 3A projections?

If this line-up stands true, East Wake's post-season will end early. Jack Britt is led by CC Foy and East Wake has no answer for her.

coin flip to determine seeding for conference tournament

state playoff seeding is determined based on conference tournament performance ... assuming they finish the regular season tied for second, they should face each other in the conference tournament and winner gets the higher seed for the state playoffs

If Broughton beats Wakefield in the rematch, what is the tie breaker?
