@bbwjmr2 I think a POY award is earned when opposing teams watch film on you, the key to them winning is stopping you and you STILL produce proving unstoppable along the way. Winning a POY three consecutive years is no easy task on any level.

@mraau95 being out of state, I'm somewhat out of the loop. In your opinion who was the best guard in the area? Did they make AP All State team?

@mraau95 TJ Evans is not Apex's best player. Ian Boyd is Apex's best player. That just tells me you don't know basketball. Scoring points in basketball is the easiest part of basketball. Winning conference player of the year is by default, if your team wins the title the player who averages the most points for their team wins the title. It is a title that is not earned. The coaches don't take into account, how well rounded the player is . . . can they score, play defense, make their teammates better, lead, low turnover ratio etc. @mraau95 you have a lot to learn about basketball.

I assume you are referring to TJ Evans? I won't get into an argument whether he was best guard in the area, but he was a 3 time conference POY and won a State Championship. Not a bad resume.

@bbwjmr2 ummmm apex didnt play my team this year. Your best player was that lightskin kid that plays the point and even he wasnt the best guard in the area.

I am a little surprised Kishawn Pritchett didn't make it on one of the teams...he had a great statistical year, backed up by his team's record and success...

Super good high school guards for Apex last season. In the championship game Dupree gave valuable minutes. Soph. Ian Boyd was a game changer...he might be destined for all-state one day. The fact that Apex did NOT have an all-state player just signifies they had a GREAT "TEAM". As a fan or a coach I would be more proud of that than a roster of all-state players.

mraau95 you sound like another scorned loser. Yes Apex beat your team. Deal with it!

Well I've seen apex play and that doesn't surprise me...but who made it?

Strange but is this the first time that the two 4A Championship Teams did not have one person on the AP All State Team?!?!
