    @bruiser

You are certainly entitled to your opinion and I respect that.

I only saw Millbrook when they played at Heritage and both teams missed wide open jumpers the whole night. The low scoring game was not due to defense.

If I had seen them play 7 or 8 games this year, it is quite possible I could have a different opinion.

If you have seen them play more often, then I will certainly appreciate your opinion.

Just Brian, I disagree with a lot of your post...I think Cameron Sykes will be Millbrook's key to a run...

I also disagree with the defensive aspect of your post. Defense is what keeps Millbrook in the games. If you watch a game, the coach runs the same offensive play the majority of the game. What his genius is in is calling the defensive plays.

I do agree about bringing every minute of every game...They could get blown out in the second round or they could go all the way to the finals...

Not a coach. Just love the high school game better than the pros or college.

THe entire Millbrook team comes back...JV lost 1 game (Kinston) this year, Frosh team was undefeated and they only lost part time starter Andrew Ezeburo...They are deep long and talented...They have, without a doubt, the biggest most exciting leaper in the Cap 8 on their team.
With what the Leesville Rd coach did this year, he returns 2 starters and 2 top kids off the bench, they should certainly be looked at to stay at the top.
One would think Sanderson would be good one of these years, but they seem to be content in the 4-6 range...

Seems like alot of kids go to private schools during the junior or senior year, especially if it's one that will get them more looks at the college level. I've been told Ravenscroft is the biggest private school in the area.

Would be surprised if Wilson is back at Millbrook, his brother matriculated at ravenscroft

After watching Millbrook play in person, I would say the key player to a state championship run is Jake Wilson. He has the potential to be a dominating big man in the middle. If he will play defense with his hands in the air, he can alter shots and make people think twice about driving into the lane.

The entire Millbrook defense needs to remember that scoring points is fun but stopping teams on the defensive end is where momentum changes.

They also have to learn to bring it every night. Experience will help that but they relaxed at one point against Heritage and almost let the Huskies come away with a win. There was no reason for Heritage to only lose by 3 in that game.

Well, Millbrook has only 1 senior so they should be much improved with a full year of varsity under their belt. Starting 5 consists of solely Juniors/Sophomores Rob Brown (15), Carlee Clemons (14) Cameron Sykes (14) Jake Wilson (14) Brandon Goldsmith (14)

Jared Joyner (PG) and Gersham Ejoni (C) from Heritage. They are both sophomores this year and have improved greatly from their freshman years.

The move ups from JV will add speed to Heritage which they lacked this year.

From Wakefield watch out for Phillip Protz and Marius Cooper both played JV but have potential (2016) play aau with WCBA also from Sanderson Taj Thompson(2016) and Harrison Kuehn(2015) both are proven to be deadly shooters and can get to the basket at ease from Leesville 6'7 Sunny Piplani (2016) is a shooter with size
