Holly Springs

RE: Holly Springs

I have always thought that there was a ton of talent on Holly Springs, but a lack of coaching has hampered their success. There are more talented players walking around in Holly Springs High NOT playing basketball for some reason.

RE: Holly Springs

^When I was in high school, the coaches during lunch basically recruited through the cafeteria, trying to get athletic looking guys to try out. I dont know who holly springs coach is, but from what I am hearing in this forum I hear hes no the guy for the job. I am not assuming whether he is good or not since i havent seen with my own eyes, but just remember holly springs may be really talented, but the tri-nine is a very tough conference, Middle Creek, Apex, and Green Hope. All those schools are very talented as well. PC and Lee are talented too. Im glad PC got Hepp coaching again. Holly Spings will get it together, whether its the players, coaches, or just a heck of a strong conference.

RE: Holly Springs

HOW ABOUT THAT, holly springs and panther creek play tie breaker tonight at Cary High, admission is free I think.

RE: Holly Springs

Donell Lowe has signed with Catawba College and Anthanee Doyle has signed with Queens University of Charlotte. He will join Jared Hendryx from Jordan High School, fellow tri-nine player Grant Rasmussen from Green Hope and Logan Evans from Wakefield.

RE: Holly Springs

Doyle has signed with University of Tennessee Chattanooga.

Pryor joins another potential steal in Anthanee Doyle, who signed with Long when he was the head coach at Division II Queens (N.C.) University because an erroneous story made the rounds that he was committed to a Division I school. Disappointed at the lack of attention, Doyle signed with Long, who had made his recruitment a priority. Like Pryor, Doyle is a shooter who doesn’t mind getting his hands dirty on defense and has point guard skills.

“In time Doyle and Pryor could be a really tough backcourt,” Long said. “It’s not gonna happen overnight. They’re young still. But they can both handle it and both shoot it. Both have got a chance to heat the ball up and really guard. They’re good kids, too.”
