Doyle has signed with University of Tennessee Chattanooga.

Pryor joins another potential steal in Anthanee Doyle, who signed with Long when he was the head coach at Division II Queens (N.C.) University because an erroneous story made the rounds that he was committed to a Division I school. Disappointed at the lack of attention, Doyle signed with Long, who had made his recruitment a priority. Like Pryor, Doyle is a shooter who doesn’t mind getting his hands dirty on defense and has point guard skills.

“In time Doyle and Pryor could be a really tough backcourt,” Long said. “It’s not gonna happen overnight. They’re young still. But they can both handle it and both shoot it. Both have got a chance to heat the ball up and really guard. They’re good kids, too.”

Donell Lowe has signed with Catawba College and Anthanee Doyle has signed with Queens University of Charlotte. He will join Jared Hendryx from Jordan High School, fellow tri-nine player Grant Rasmussen from Green Hope and Logan Evans from Wakefield.

^When I was in high school, the coaches during lunch basically recruited through the cafeteria, trying to get athletic looking guys to try out. I dont know who holly springs coach is, but from what I am hearing in this forum I hear hes no the guy for the job. I am not assuming whether he is good or not since i havent seen with my own eyes, but just remember holly springs may be really talented, but the tri-nine is a very tough conference, Middle Creek, Apex, and Green Hope. All those schools are very talented as well. PC and Lee are talented too. Im glad PC got Hepp coaching again. Holly Spings will get it together, whether its the players, coaches, or just a heck of a strong conference.

I have always thought that there was a ton of talent on Holly Springs, but a lack of coaching has hampered their success. There are more talented players walking around in Holly Springs High NOT playing basketball for some reason.

Again Selfish Play and Crying! Doyle only knows "I", not team. Unless he changes his attitude the farthest he will go is to the house thinking about what if...

It was inexcusable that they settled for playing 4on4 most of the game with their hot hand drifting from corner to corner and not demanding the ball. I blame the coach for not having plays to get him free and I blame the player for spending more time complaining to the refs than going and getting the rock. It's not like we're talking about Scott wood...Doyle is effective with the b all in his hands. Also, their point guard is ineffective. He does not create.

BINGO! Team has no chemistry. Only selfish play the entire games. Not to much the coach can do with that. I feel sorry for him not having players that cannot commit to being a team. On paper they should be in top 3 of conference.

Holly springs might be the most underachieving team in the area. No reason a team with that much talent should be in the lower half of the league. I don't know the coach, but I thought this team had poor chemistry and didn't play hard.

Well, i was hoping PC would beat Lee. No seniors on PC. But now i think Apex and MC are in control now.

I watched this and it was a really entertaining game that GHHS won by about 10. Anthanee Doyle was amazing - he hit 5 straight 3s out of the gate, forcing a box and one. If I'm a Holly Springs fan, I'd be pretty frustrated that my kids have apparently never seen a back pick before. Doyle god one contested shot off in the third (make), barely missed a 30 footer at the quarter buzzer then swished a good lock early in the 4th before clanging a few at the end. He barely touched the ball an there was just no good reason.

HS did make a nice run to get within 1 from 13 down with 2 GH starter on the bench with 4 but the lead got pushed back into double figures by the last 3 minutes and it was just FTs and Doyle's magic had left him.

HS forced a lot of turnovers last time and won by 14. GH will need to fix that.

Green Hope's threes are big, but its mainly the passes. Green Hope is one of the best passing teams and in the three games ive been to of green hope's this year, they do not turn the ball over often, they pass the ball so well, and with good ball movement it gives them the open three. As for David Robertson, even if he is covered well, hes making them three pointers. Im predicting Middle Creek or Apex takes tri-nine

Holly Springs got a good draw in the Tri-9. They match up well with Green Hope due to their huge size advantage, and they lost two nailbiters to Middle Creek. They wouldn't have to see Apex, for whom they've had no answers, until the final.

If Green Hope doesn't rain 3s on them (always a possibility), they could make a run.
