Watch out for Taj Thompson 2016 (Sanderson JV) played up with Varsity for 1 game and Leesville press couldn't contain him at all, plays with WCBA AAU

silkyblue, youre definitely right, Some aau coaches are in it for the money, some are actually trying to produce athletes. I think parents should be really careful about aau teams, youre exactly right. I coach aau in durham and alot of reclassifying, exposure will come through tourneys and showcases over time.

it is what it is. reclassifying has messed up ball in this area, AAU coaches has got kids acting desperate and thinking reclassifying is the only way to get exposure.

Millbrooks Varsity boys are probably the youngest team in the area with only 1 senior on the team. JV only has the sophomores on the team.

Ouch silkysmoothblue, don't get tight. I didn't know these kids were over aged. But thank you for informing us. SMH!

Word of God has four players that have continued to re-class. NOT MAJOR ATHLETES, Just OLDER ONES! SMH!

Ian Boyd is 16 as a freshman, should be scoring! He older than most players, most players are juniors at age of 16. SMH!

I forgot. Apex has Ian Boyd, freshman who started football and basketball on varsity. He had the second most ppg. Green Hopes number 11 is a freshman, he starts. Cary has this kid from Reedy Creek. So I think tri nine will be strong in future. I got caught up because the last four year letterman at PC i knew is now a starter at Mizzou, Ross.

@hsfootballraleigh - don't get caught up too much on freshmen playing up on varsity. The two players are PC are talented, but there are underclassmen playing up a varsity on almost every team. Apex has a freshmen and a couple of sophs playing up, Middle Creek has their leading scorer as a soph and their 6th man a soph. Freshmen on varsity could mean that there is an overall lack of talent in the program. I think that is the case for PC. Apex and Middle Creek are the perennial class of the conference and both their JV programs were excellent this year.

Word of God's JV team was untouchable this season. They averaged almost 90 pts a game.

btw, panther creek girls jv finished 21-0

Ok, jv :/. Because in 4 years that class wont mean anything. Panther Creek has three freshmen on Varsity, two are starters. Combined the two has 24 points a game, imgagine they stayed on JV. Wouldnt be fair. But talent is talent. Leesville JV team had this #32 kid who put up 20+ on PCs JV.

Middle Creek is one of the top JV teams in the area. This team has either gone undefeated or had one loss for about the past 8 years. MC played Millbrook JV this year and Millbrook won on a last second shot - the refs played a big part in that win. Millbrook is good, but I would not put them way above MC.

Millbrook's JV Women lost at least once in conference, at Broughton in OT

I think Millbrooks JV Women are undefeated also. The Womens Varsity will be taking a big hit with 8 Seniors moving on.

Millbrook Men's JV is 20-1, 11-0 in the conference. Their only loss was at Kinston with horrid officiating along with 2 starters up on Varsity and another injured. This team is no doubt the class of the area when it comes to JV Basketball. All 16 players are guards so they out run any team in the area.

Does anyone know if any of the Cap 8 JV boys or girls basketball teams are undefeated?
