RE: GNRC Preaseaon Picks
just dont see ew doing anything special....new coach....they will have to adjust to that and some will fall off due to discipline.
RE: GNRC Preaseaon Picks
Sometimes a new face is all it takes.
RE: GNRC Preaseaon Picks
I disagree cantbustem, I've been around the new coach for a while and he is very good at what he does....
RE: GNRC Preaseaon Picks
East wake has some pitching too,the big question around the league is, who going to be able to hit with the new bats,we played with them this fall and the extra base hits were very few.The team that knows how to play small ball might be the best team.
RE: GNRC Preaseaon Picks
I did not say that he did not know the game. I think he was a good hire and now for the first time in many years, they have a head coach who is actually on campus. If they won't fall in line for him and do things his way, he may have to run some guys off. Pitching will be good but not great.
RE: GNRC Preaseaon Picks
In looking at the EW roster. I saw the name Jonathan Aparicio. He was a geat prospect as a freshman and has been beset by injuries and apparently has moved aroud to different schools. What is his status?
RE: GNRC Preaseaon Picks
I don't think Knightdale has enough to compete at the plate to win the conference, they have a good starter in Vernon but i don't think they have enough solid relief pitching to make a run.
East Wake has a solid top 5-6 in thier line up and Wazack has improved since last season but once again I don't think they have too much more solid pitching besides him.
Clayton is always solid, despite losing a few key players, but I still think they'll run away with the conference in the end.
I'd say Clayton will win the conference with East Wake, Knightdale, and battling for the next 3 spots followed by West Johnston, Harnett Central, SSS, and then SE.
RE: GNRC Preaseaon Picks
it will be Garner and Clayton battling it out for first place.

Gotta go with the Trojans!
