Aycock's Williams scores 1,000th point

C.B. Aycock High School forward Mike Williams reached a major milestone on Friday night.
Williams scored 23 points against South Central on Friday, pushing him over the 1,000-point mark for his career. The Golden Falcons lost to South Central 81-54.
At 6-foot-5, Williams is only the second player in C.B. Aycock basketball history to reach the 1,000-point plateau, according to head coach Tod Morgan. Morgan called it "an outstanding accomplishment for a fine young man."
The first player at C.B. Aycock to reach the 1,000-point mark was Joseph Pryor during the 1993-1994 season.
Morgan is in his first year as head coach at C.B. Aycock after leaving Chapel Hill High School during the off season. The Golden Falcons currently sit at 5-10 on the season.
