Apex Friendship hammers Western Harnett, 48-6

Posted August 19

Apex Friendship handled Western Harnett with ease Friday night, 46-6, its widest margin of victory since the program’s inception in 2015.

The Patriots’ win matches their win total from last season. Apex Friendship was victorious in Week 1 against North East Carolina Prep in 2016 with a 46-12 advantage.

Lightning caused an extended delay, but Apex Friendship scored quickly after the game resumed on a three-year score to put the Patriots up, 32-6.

It was all Apex Friendship the rest of the way with 16 unanswered points to end the ballgame.

Apex Friendship returns to action Friday at 7 p.m. to host Chapel Hill, and Western Harnett will welcome Providence Grove at 7:30 p.m.
